Renewal Chambers was founded in May 2002 and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with registration no: PH-066,883. Starting with a fairly modest office at the ever busy D/line, business district of Port Harcourt, the firm moved to the more serene Industry Road just a stone through from Nigerian Ports Authority, the hub of bulk commercial activity. The location is barely half a kilometer from the Government House, the Rivers State Seat of Power and about a kilometer from the Port Harcourt High Court Complex. Our focus from inception has unflinchingly been on quality of service rather than multitude. The average cognate experience of our senior counsel has never been less than ten years of active legal practice. The drive for quality service and client satisfaction does not stop at office convenience. Our facility includes a constantly updated law library, a digital library with search engines and subscription to a couple of virtual libraries from other jurisdictions. The firm consists of Partners and Associates whose brief resumes are as contained in our "Attorneys" page. In addition, the services of two external consultants, a Retired Justice of the Superior Courts and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) are availed the firm. Over the years we have provided a wide range of legal and consultancy services to individuals, Corporate clients, Government Agencies and Government Ministry. For purposes of confidentiality and privilege we shall not disclose our clients to the public. But the range of service so far provided has served major players in the Oil and Gas sector, Oil Services sector, Banks, Non Governmental Organisations amongst others, the specific legal issues have covered such areas as incorporation and post incorporation matters, perfection of instruments, general legal drafting, law of tort, intellectual property, patent rights, taxation, acquisitions and litigation etc. As our own way of encouraging and facilitating access to justice to all, we have always assigned a counsel at every point in time to coordinate pro bono matters. Our seriousness and commitment to providing pro bono service is under scored by the fact that all counsel in chambers ranging from the senior partner to pupil counsel get their mandatory share. Despite our impressive growth record we believe that there is always room for improvement and that development is a constant in our ever changing millieu. |
